Chrome extension settings and defaults

Set text length, languages, prompt, keywords, and ecommerce details, and sync them with the web app.

The popup has the same generation options as the web app's Generation Defaults. Changes save to your browser instantly, and Save as Default Settings pushes them to your account so the web app and your other devices pick them up.

Where the settings live

Open the popup while signed in and expand the collapsible sections below the generate tools. Each option mirrors a web-app setting.

The options

  • Text LengthNormal (1x credit) or Detailed (2x credits). Defaults to Normal.
  • Languages — pick from 194 languages. English is always included and pinned first.
  • Auto-detect Context — on by default; gathers the page title, headings, captions, and meta description to improve accuracy. See how Auto-detect Context works.
  • Customize tone or writing style — a custom prompt, up to 500 characters.
  • Prefix / Suffix — up to 45 characters each, added to every alt text.
  • SEO Keywords / Negative Keywords — up to 10 each, 45 characters per keyword.
  • Brand, Product, Primary Color, Secondary Color — ecommerce details, up to 45 characters each.

Saving and syncing

Every change saves to your browser straight away (a brief *Changes saved for this session* toast confirms it). To make the current options your account-wide defaults, click Save as Default Settings; this syncs to the web app and your other devices. Reset to Defaults restores your last-saved account defaults.

If you change your defaults in the web app, the extension picks them up the next time you open the popup.
