These Terms of Service ( “Terms” ) govern your access to and use of Alt Text Studio (the “Service” ), available at alttextstudio.com , operated by Alt Text Studio ( “Alt Text Studio,” “we,” “us,” or “our” ).
By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1) The Service
Alt Text Studio helps users generate image alt text using automated systems, including third-party AI models and infrastructure. Generated results may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your needs.
2) Eligibility and Your Account
You must be able to form a legally binding contract to use the Service.
You are responsible for all activity under your account, keeping your login credentials secure, and providing accurate and up-to-date account information.
3) User Content You Provide
“User Content” includes any images (or image inputs), URLs/links, prompts, text, keywords, and other content you upload, submit, or provide to the Service.
You are solely responsible for your User Content and represent and warrant that:
- You have all rights and permissions needed to provide it
- It does not violate any law or any third party’s rights (including privacy, publicity, or intellectual property rights)
Links and availability
If you provide an image link (URL), you understand:
- We cannot guarantee the link will always work
- We cannot guarantee the URL will always point to the same content over time
- You are responsible for the URL and the content it references
4) Data Storage and Processing
Alt Text Studio does not store image files you upload or link to, except as needed for transient processing and transmission in order to provide the Service.
However, Alt Text Studio does store certain data to operate the Service, which may include:
- Generated alt text and related outputs
- Links/URLs you provide
- Prompts, settings, and option selections (e.g., tone/length/keywords)
- Account information and usage records (e.g., logs, timestamps, credit usage)
- Billing-related records (if you purchase Credits or a plan)

If you or an Alt Text Studio administrator delete alt text data, account details, or an entire account, that deletion is generally intended to be permanent and the deleted data is not restored in the ordinary course of our operations. Limited copies may continue to exist for a time in backups or logs maintained for security, continuity, and legal compliance purposes, but these are not used to actively restore day-to-day access to deleted content or accounts.
5) Prohibited Content and Conduct
You agree not to use the Service to upload, link to, request, or process content that is illegal, harmful, or otherwise violates these Terms.
This includes (non-exhaustive):
- Illegal content, sexual content, violent content, or content that exploits or harms others
- Content that infringes intellectual property rights
- Malware, phishing, hacking attempts, credential stuffing, or attempts to bypass security or usage limits
- Harassment, hate, or extremist content
- Controversial, inappropriate, or offensive content
- Any use that violates the Terms of Service or acceptable use policies of third parties Alt Text Studio relies on (including, without limitation, Google, OpenAI, Microsoft, Stripe, Render, Railway, and others)
You also agree not to reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code, models, or system prompts (except to the extent permitted by law), use automation to abuse the Service (including free credits), overload infrastructure, scrape, circumvent rate limits, or resell, lease, transfer, or sublicense accounts or Credits.
You agree to use Alt Text Studio ethically and in compliance with applicable laws.
6) Credits, Free Credits, and Abuse
Alt Text Studio may offer usage credits (“Credits”), including free credits for new accounts and/or paid credits.
- Credits are non-transferable and may not be resold
- Credits have no cash value
- Abuse of free credits (including creating multiple accounts to obtain free credits or using automation to farm credits) may result in suspension or termination
Revocation / refusal of Credits
Alt Text Studio reserves the right to revoke, disable, suspend, or stop accepting Credits at any time for any reason, including suspected violation of these Terms, abuse, hacking, malicious use, or to protect the Service.
7) Payments and Billing (If Applicable)
Payments may be processed by third parties such as Stripe. By purchasing, you agree to the payment processor’s terms and authorize us (and our processor) to charge your payment method.
Unless required by law or explicitly stated by Alt Text Studio in writing, purchases are non-refundable, including cases where generated alt text is incorrect or undesired.
We may change our pricing or credit structures from time to time. This may include, for example, changing the prices of credit plans or pay-as-you-go packs, adjusting how many credits certain features (such as premium models) consume, or changing the number of credits included in existing plans. Unless we state otherwise, any such changes will apply on a go-forward basis and will not retroactively affect Credits you have already purchased.
8) Third-Party Services
The Service may depend on third-party systems (for example: OpenAI and other third-party AI providers, Stripe, Render, Railway, and others). We are not responsible for third-party outages, errors, policy changes, service restrictions, or actions taken by those third parties.
9) Output Disclaimer (No Guarantee of Accuracy)
Alt text generated by the Service may be wrong. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying outputs before publishing or relying on them.
Alt Text Studio is not liable for incorrect, incomplete, or misleading generated text; any downstream consequences of using generated text; or any failure of a third-party model to perform as expected.
You are not entitled to a refund solely because generated output is inaccurate.
10) Accessibility Disclaimer; No Compliance Guarantee
Alt Text Studio is designed to help improve accessibility by making it easier to create alt text for images. However:
- No guarantee the Service meets all standards: We do not warrant or guarantee that the Service or any output it generates will meet all accessibility standards, guidelines (including WCAG), or legal requirements in every circumstance.
- No guarantee your website/business becomes compliant: Using Alt Text Studio (including publishing the alt text it generates) does not guarantee that your website, app, business, or content will become compliant with any accessibility law, regulation, or standard. Accessibility compliance depends on many factors outside of alt text alone (including your site’s design, code, content structure, and ongoing maintenance).
- You are responsible for review and implementation: You are responsible for evaluating accessibility requirements that apply to you and for reviewing and verifying any alt text before publishing.

11) Our Rights: Moderation, Enforcement, and Account Actions
Alt Text Studio may, at any time and at its sole discretion, remove or restrict access to any User Content, outputs, links, or stored records associated with your use, suspend or terminate your account, or deny service. We may do so with or without notice and without explanation, to the extent permitted by law.
12) Intellectual Property
Alt Text Studio owns the Service and all related software, branding, and site content (excluding User Content).
You retain your rights in your User Content. You grant Alt Text Studio a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, process, and display your User Content solely as needed to provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Service, and to comply with law and enforce these Terms.
13) Privacy
Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy . If there’s a conflict between these Terms and the Privacy Policy, these Terms control the rules of using the Service, and the Privacy Policy controls how data is handled.
14) Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ALT TEXT STUDIO DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted, secure, or error-free operation, or that outputs will be accurate.
15) Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ALT TEXT STUDIO WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ALT TEXT STUDIO’S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID ALT TEXT STUDIO IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM (OR $100 IF YOU PAID NOTHING), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
16) Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Alt Text Studio from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your User Content, your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms or applicable law, or your violation of any third-party rights.
17) Changes to the Service or Terms
We may update the Service or these Terms. Updated Terms will be posted with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
18) Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time.
We may suspend or terminate your access at any time as described above. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately.
19) Governing Law; Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict of law rules.
To the extent permitted by law, you agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Tennessee, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
