How it integrates

Squirrly SEO stores its per-post focus keyword as a JSON object in post meta. Alt Text Studio decodes it and includes the keyword when generating alt text for attached images.

Under the hood

  1. Detects Squirrly via SQ_VERSION.
  2. Reads _sq_post_keyword post meta and JSON-decodes the keyword property.
  3. Passes the focus keyword as a SEO hint for the attached image.
